Running, cycling and academic research
Shreyas Rane comes to SPS after four years at the Taft School. He graduated from Rutgers University, majoring in computer science and as an Honors College scholar. At Rutgers, Mr. Rane was actively involved in theoretical computer science and mathematical research while engaging as a community ambassador. He founded a student-focused research journal, The Undergraduate Review, during his senior year. It now serves as one of the major platforms for the students at Rutgers to publish their academic work.
Mr. Rane teaches all levels of computer science and works on research on approximation algorithms and complexity theory. He lives on campus with his wife, Rachel, their dog, Joni, and two cats, Beethoven and Maggie.
