Dr. Caroline Brooks “Brooks” Seay (“See”) joined St. Paul’s School as chief operating and financial officer in December 2018. Her more than 35 years of experience include nearly two decades in education, beginning with her 2003 appointment as chief business officer and associate dean for the School of Law at Emory University in Atlanta. She also was senior vice president of finance and operations/CFO at Young Harris College, a four-year, liberal arts college located in northern Georgia, and served as interim president of the college. Additionally, Seay was chief financial and operating officer at the Asheville School in Asheville, North Carolina.
Seay holds her EdD from the University of Georgia, her MBA from Emory University and her JD from Georgia State University. Prior to her work in education, Seay was chief operating and financial officer at Ashe & Rafuse, LLP; the chief financial officer at Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP; and the controller for Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, all in Atlanta. She also is a certified public accountant, a member of the Georgia bar and a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
A lifelong resident of the southeastern U.S., Seay was born in South Carolina before moving to Georgia as a teenager. She resides on the grounds with her partner, Michelle, and their two dogs.
