World Premiere of “Ladysitting” by Lorene Cary ’74

SPS alumni, parents and friends are invited to join Rector Kathy Giles for the debut of acclaimed writer Lorene Cary’s new play, “Ladysitting.”

Based on Cary’s best-selling memoir “Ladysitting: My Year with Nana at the End of her Century,” the play captures the ruptures, love and forgiveness that can occur in a family as she explores the stories of her African American family and bears witness to her grandmother’s 101 vibrant years of life.

After the 90-minute performance, Rector Giles will host a special reception for SPS guests, featuring a post-production conversation with Cary and Jonathan Silver, the theatre’s associate artistic director. Refreshments will be provided.

Register now to buy your ticket at a special SPS rate of $26.
